In Week 15 of Advanced 3D Computer Animation, Professor Ting Liu Ting Liu asked me to focus on final polish of my lip sync assignment. She guided me to refine secondary animation and improve overall performance quality for final output.
Step 1: Developing the Animation
I corrected spline issues from previous week and improved body posture flow. I refined lip sync timing based on feedback and adjusted spacing for better clarity. I also added secondary animation elements such as cap movement and pencil motion to enhance character realism and visual interest.
I focused on improving natural motion in small details while maintaining consistency in facial performance. I ensured that secondary elements supported main animation without distraction. I also refined timing to ensure smoother emotional delivery.
Step 2: Rendering the Animation
Step 3: Receiving the feedback
After submitting my animation, I received positive feedback from Professor Ting that:
“Final animation shows strong improvement. structure and performance quality are good. lip sync is strong but still needs refinement for consistency. continue practicing timing control and subtle secondary animation balance. keep performance clean without overcomplication”
I understood that final polish stage depends on balance between primary performance and secondary motion. I also learned that strong animation is achieved when subtle details support emotional storytelling without overwhelming the main performance.
