In Week 12, of Design for Animation, Narrative Structures, and Film Language with Professor Nigel Mairs, the focus was on final submission of the critical report and the audiovisual presentation. This week involved refining structure, clarity, and coherence across both components of the assignment.
A)AUDIO VISUAL PRESENTATION
The Audio-Visual presentation required a different approach. Rather than summarising the entire report, I focused on communicating the core research objective, methodology, key findings, and conclusions. I structured the presentation to be visually minimal but conceptually strong, allowing my narration to carry the depth of analysis.
A)CRITICAL REPORT
For the critical report, I ensured that the structure followed academic conventions, including an introduction, literature review, analytical chapters, and conclusion. I paid particular attention to clarity, coherence, and critical engagement with sources.
This week also highlighted the importance of adapting research for different formats. While the written report prioritised detail and citation, the presentation prioritised clarity, confidence, and audience engagement.
By the end of Week 12, both components reflected a coherent research journey, from topic proposal to final submission, demonstrating critical thinking, research discipline, and effective communication.
