In WEEK 10 of Computer Animation Fundamentals, I had another discussion with Professor Serra Ozdemir regarding the progress of my final project. She mentioned that she really liked the overall direction and how the project was developing visually. Along with appreciating the progress, she gave me a few important feedback points to improve the quality and clarity of the scene. She pointed out that the candle men characters who are holding the candles were looking too similar to each other and suggested that I should introduce variations to make them visually distinct.
“The candle men are looking very similar right now, so try to make them more unique by changing small details like hair, hairstyle, or proportions.”
“The surroundings are quite simple at the moment; later you can add more temple-like structures and details to enrich the environment.”
“You can add more secondary elements, for example, flowers like lotus in the pond, to make the environment feel more alive.”
FINAL PROJECT (SCENES IMPROVEMENTS)
This week, I rendered the first draft of my environment to evaluate how it was coming together visually. At this stage, the scene was still at a base level with minimal textures, but the overall structure and layout were in place. I focused on matching the camera perspectives to my reference images, including close-up shots and specific framing styles, to test how the scene would read visually.
a) Adding more secondary props in the Pond

b) Customizing the pandits

c) Alignment of Side snake statues and adding detailed Surroundings

d) Remodelling the Centre snake state with more expressive facial features
